16 Hudson Renewed for Season Three

The third season of Big Bad Boo’s 16 Hudson is set to launch on Canadian pubcasters later this year.

The new episodes, which will launch in French and English with commissioners TVOKids, SRC Radio-Canada, TFO and Knowledge Kids, will explore what home means to Lili, Sam, Eddie and Amala.

16 Hudson’s third season will feature a three-episode arc in which each family visits their ancestral homes, with trips planned to India, China and Vancouver Island. For Lili, who is unable to travel, she connects with her grandfather and tours Iran virtually.

16 Hudson is helmed by Suzanne Bolch and John May, with a writing team that includes Leonard Chan, Taylor Annisett, and Ravi Steve Khajuria. The team is also producing five new episodes of 16 Hudson ER, serving as health, hygiene and safety PSAs. These new shorts will focus on water and road safety.

16 Hudson is currently airing in five languages internationally on Amazon Prime Video, RTP Portugal, Discovery Kids, Oznoz and Vme Kids.

Shabnam Rezaei, series creator and showrunner, said: “These are very special episodes because they speak to the heart of 16 Hudson. Home means so many things to so many people. Home can be a person, a place or things, and our kids explore the importance of cherishing their past and valuing each other in the present. This is a very Canadian story.”
