New Season of The Bravest Knight Launches on Hulu and CBC Kids

New Stars Wallace Shawn, Cynthia Nixon, and Nasim Pedrad join the stellar returning cast featuring T.R. Knight, Wilson Cruz, Teri Polo, Margaret Cho, Steven Weber and more.

NEW YORK, NY – Dec. 5th, 2024 – Big Bad Boo Studios announced today the release of the first six episodes of Season Two of their original animated series, The Bravest Knight. The all-star cast now also includes Wallace Shawn as “Rumpelstiltskin”, Gilded Age actress Cynthia Nixon as “Sharon the Spider”, Ru Paul Drag Race alum Nina West asthe “Duchess of Grazia”, and Saturday Night Live veteran Nasim Pedrad as “Ali the Thief.”
The first six episodes drop on Hulu in the US and CBC Gem in Canada on December 13. Episodes will also launch on CBC on January 12. Created by Daniel Errico, and directed by Shabnam Rezaei, The Bravest Knight received a GLAAD Award for Outstanding Kids & Family Programming.
Season one of The Bravest Knight aired on Hulu and CBC Kids to rave reviews, and audiences await the rest of young Cedric’s adventures searching for the elusive “Red Dragon”, played by Christine Baranski. Season two continues as Sir Cedric shares how he became a knight with his daughter, Nia, an aspiring knight herself. Now married to the Prince, Sir Cedric recounts his adventures as a young Not-Yet-Knight, alongside Grunt, Saylor, and Cho. Together, they encounter a cast of fairytale characters, both old and new, and learn about friendship, resourcefulness, and true bravery.
The award-winning series boasts a celebrity cast including series regulars T. R. Knight as “Sir Cedric,”, Wilson Cruz as “Prince Andrew,”, Teri Polo as “Saylor”, Margaret Cho as “Cho”, and Steven Weber as the “Head Knight”. Special guests include Emmy and Tony winner Alan Cuming as “Sheriff Reginald”, Tony winner Ali Stroker as “Rya”, and Emmy and Golden Globe winner Jane Lynch as “Lug Lug”, the Ogre.

In honor of the second season, from November 2024 through June 2025, Schiffer Publishing will be donating partial proceeds from sales of the book that inspired the series, “The Bravest Knight Who Ever Lived”, to GLSEN, the leading LGBTQ+ education organization working to ensure safe schools for all students.
Season one is available on Hulu and CBC Kids Gem, with RuPaul as the “Big Bad Wolf”, AJ McLean, Wanda Sykes, and Jazz Jennings. This season promises to be bigger and better than ever, with more action, lessons, and laughs that entertain the whole family.
