You should know Shabnam Rezaei, co-founder of Big Bad Boo Studios, a premier animation company, and Oznoz, an educational platform featuring cartoons in 10 languages with no ads. A true champion of producing inclusive content for kids, Shabnam just released her latest animated series – The Bravest Knight – that’s breaking new ground. Now streaming on Hulu, it centers on a family with two dads and their adopted daughter, making it one of the first shows in children’s TV to feature an openly gay main character (view trailer above).

The Bravest Knight is the first ever Hulu Kids’ Original series. The first five episodes launched June 21, and additional episodes will follow later this year. If Shabnam and the Big Bad Boo Studios team get 50,000 streams of The Bravest Knight by July 20th, Hulu will donate $50,000 to The Trevor Project, the leading national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to LGBTQ youth. About The Bravest Knight Kids’ Series

Based on the book “The Bravest Knight Who Ever Lived” by Daniel Errico, The Bravest Knight is the story of a young pumpkin farmer, named Cedric, as he attempts to become the greatest knight who ever lived. Accompanied by his best friend, a bridge-less troll named Grunt, Cedric’s lifelong quest to fulfill his destiny takes him through a world of witches and giants, and ends with the toughest challenge of all: teaching his daughter to do the same.

The series features an all-star cast including T.R. Knight (Grey’s Anatomy), Bobby Moynihan (Saturday Night Live), Storm Reid (A Wrinkle In Time), Wilson Cruz (Star Trek Discovery), Wanda Sykes, RuPaul, Teri Polo, Maz Jobrani, AJ McLean, Paul Sun-Hyung Lee, Donna Murphy, Dot Marie Jones, Emilio Delgado, Kyle Rideout, Shannon Chan Kent, Brian Drummond, Julie Nathanson, David Howard Thornton, Maryke Hendrikson, Jason Griffith, Jazz Jennings, Steven Weber, Christine Baranski (The Good Wife) and many more!
